Ingredients
2C scalded Milk
1 boiled potatoe mashed in water it was boiled in- after draining
½ C sugar
2 or 3 btn eggs
1 tsp salt
¼ C lard
2 pkg Yeast
white flour
Grammas' to die for Glaze
½ C Milk ½ C butter
¼ tsp salt
1 C wht Sugar
1 C icing Sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Beat all except Yeast together. Let Cool , then add to yeast in large bowl. Add flour and work until ready. Let rise, until double. Let rise again and roll out and cut. Should be ready to fry when done cutting.
Grammas' to die for Glaze
Mix and heat together milk butter salt and wht sugar. Let cool. Add icing sugar and vanilla. Dip hot donuts in hot glaze set on an angle in a cookie sheet excess icing will drain into cookie sheet and can be reheated for later fried donuts.
